Having to phone from 8am for appointment is not very good, as the phone is constantly engaged and when or if you do get through all appointments have gone.Why can't appointments for morning surgery be pre booked?like other surgeries do. Everyone at this surgery are doing their best under difficult times, as we all know the NHS is floundering at the moment, and this is a worry for us all. Being a Doctor is not the easy laid back job it was years ago, and they deserve all the respect we can give them. Well done all staff at Forge Road.

It is now impossible to get an appointment at this practice. You now have to phone to make an appointment for open surgery at 08:00. When you phone you are on hold then by the time you get to speak to a receptionist all the appointments are taken. I then asked for a routine appointment in a couple of weeks and again there were no appointments available and no appointments had been released beyond two weeks!! I am not surprised that so many people go to A+E, they must get fed up of waiting to get a gp appointment.

Impossible to get an appointment on the day. Phoned 58 times between 8:00 and 8:20 only to be told when I got through there were no appointments that day, or for the rest of the month for that matter. Receptionist also refused to give me an appointment on another occasion as she didn't deem it was an emergency. Was also given conflicting information by different receptionists when requesting a doctors stamp for important forms, which almost resulted in me not being able to undergo and important medical. When I finally did get an appointment with the Doctor, she was uninterested and asked me what she should do about it? Surely it should be her telling me what they've going to do. The only positive is the nurses, who seem to know what they're talking about and give the impression of caring. If you can go with someone else, then do. If you're seriously ill, it'd be quicker to organise a funeral than an appointment with these.

This doctors surgery is an absolute shambles. Impossible to get an appointment, when you finally get to see the doctor she couldn't care less. It is dirty and extremely poorly put together. The receptionists seem to think that they are qualified doctors who can see to you over the phone! I tried to book an appointment with the practice nurse over the phone (as it's so difficult to get to see a doctor and in all fairness the nurse is the only good thing about this practice) and the receptionist decided that she didn't think I needed to see anyone, after I told her I went to the out of hours doctor the night before, who had told me to go to the doctors the following day. Use this doctors if you don't value your health.
